• Technical consulting, installation and implementation services to Invensys energy systems on the Optus Adelaide to Perth Optical DWDM Long Haul system. This project involved the installation, commissioning and final system lineup of Optus Long Haul DWDM system between Adelaide and Perth, as well as manufacturers specified retrofits and in-service upgrades.
• Completion of installation and commissioning of Optus national DWDM routes with additional wavelengths and SDH nodes at all sites.
• Placement of an audit and migration team to support the migration of 2500 STM-1 to STM16 and 23000 E1 services within Optus as part of the ongoing exchange refresh programme.
• Completion of installation and commissioning of Optus national network with high capacity HDX optical cross connect nodes in each state and integration to the nations DWDM network.
• Completion of refresh activities for Optus, task included migration of legacy Fujitsu to Nortel SDH / DWDM equipment, total inservice migration of 9000 E1’s
• Completion of network management upgrade for Optus, upgrading Solaris and UNIX based optical network management systems. To the current release. Involved network management outage management and data transfer between systems.
• Successful installation and implementation of network management systems for Optus Metro DWDM network for Optus and PowerTel.
